Hello Freedom Soccer Club families and perspective families.

Tryouts are officially underway and we are looking forward to continuing to grow the club and support as many players as we can in support of FSC’s mission.  Good luck to all the players trying out this and we’ll see you on the pitch!

If there is a model of the FSC way, it has to be G2003/02 Blast (HC Erik Johnson). The team wrapped up their FSC careers today with a 4-0 victory and fittingly Coach Johnson’s daughter Grace scored the final goal.
What is the FSC way?
The team has 5 girls who have been on the team since its inception at u8. Several more have only played for Freedom. A couple joined at u9, others played for Freedom’s 02 team and joined Blast when most of the 02s graduated. 4 of the players will be continuing to play soccer in college, one will be playing lacrosse, and one will be swimming competitively.
The coaches had a vision for the team and constantly worked to make themselves better, the team better, and to find other coaches/trainers to assist with player development. They were incredibly caring, supportive role models for the players.
The team was successful in league play, tournaments, and consistently ranked in the top 20 of the state.
The parents believed in their daughters, the coaches, the team, and the club. They didn’t worry about the “next big thing” to come to the Carroll County or where the grass could potentially be greener. They supported the team in every way possible. FSC would like to thank them for their years of driving to practices and games, hosting team parties, organizing team events, organizing team dinners at overnight tournaments, and so many other things.
Congrats on a fantastic FSC run and we wish you the best in all of your future endeavors.

Sometimes you win, but you always learn and get better.
FSC G2009 Crush (HC Katie Marr) played in MD Presidents Cup against a strong team from one of the dominant clubs in the state. They played to a 1-1 tie through regulation and two overtimes, eventually losing in a shoot-out. The girls worked hard, learned a lot, and came up unlucky.
“The girls each played with fire and with grit throughout the entire game! This is the epitome of Heart Tough Together!” – HC Marr

FSC depends on volunteers from our teams to perform a number of functions and activities that keep the club running. Thank you to the coaches and parents from the following teams that volunteered and came out to help setup game fields at Oklahoma Road Middle School tonight. Together we can!
  • B2007 Storm
  • B2010 Knights
  • B2011 Fusion
  • B2011 Impact
  • G2011 Courage
  • B2012 Thunder
  • G2012 Terror

A lax congrats on a soccer page?! Absolutely! In a time when so many clubs are pushing kids to specialize in one sport, FSC is proud to be able to provide opportunities for dual-sport athletes to compete at a high level.
We’d like to congratulate Sydney Hetrick (G2003 Blast – HC Erik Johnson) on her commitment to play lacrosse at Shippensburg University. Syd also had offers to play soccer, but choose the lacrosse path and we very excited for her.
